Tarvisio golf
Friuli - Venezia Giulia Golf
Friuli Venezia Giulia offers golf
enthusiasts exclusive 18-hole greens in the middle of the
countryside. From the peaks of the Alps to the Adriatic, in
an arc
of about 100 kilometers, the region presents the tourist
with a mosaic of landscapes without equal: golf courses
spread out on three levels – mountain, hill and valley –
each reflecting the variety of the different landscapes
which make this area unique in central Europe.

Trieste Golf
An imaginary route could therefore begin with the
evocative setting of the mountain landscape in the Giulian
Alps valley, where
one can find the Tarvisio Golf & Country Club , where one can find the Trieste Golf Club found in the attractive Carso backdrop on the border with
Slovenia, an area which does not seem suitable for this
sport; however, this latter course is particularly
demanding, because of grass being grown even on the rocks as
well as its narrow and rich fairways with traps which become
even more fascinating when the famous “bora” wind from the
high Adriatic begins to blow.

Gorizia Golf
For those who prefer the tranquillity of the valleys to
the mountain peaks, one can always opt for the Gorizia Golf & Country
Club , at Spessa Castle – a fort which hosts the club
house and a restaurant – which was recently opened in the
heart of Collio, a land of great wines and popular flavours.
Or alternatively one can choose Udine Golf Club, an
intensive course distinguishable by its lightly undulating
slopes and its very pleasant club house with two large
patios and a renowned restaurant.

Grado Golf
Lignano Golf
If, on the other hand one prefers the seaside, then Grado Golf Club is ideal, situated within the setting of the splendid
lagoon, it has a number of water obstacles and the beautiful
“Tenuta Primero” which comprises a number of important
reception facilities just a few kilometers away from the
“Isola del Sole” the sunny isle of Grado. Still on the coast
we can also find the Lignano Golf Club , within the splendid pinewood area
between the Tagliamento river mouth and the Marano lagoon: the
golf course is characterised by a number of small lakes and
large bunkers, in an area of some 90 hectares of land, where
there is even space for the large and extremely welcoming
club house with a health spa and 24-room hotel.
Besides these, Friuli Venezia Giulia can also offer
another two smaller courses: the Castel
d’Aviano, near to Pordenone and the Friuli
Golf Club, a few kilometers away from Udine. A
wide range of opportunities for lovers of this sport which
can be paired with the pleasures of the green and relaxation
in high quality avant-garde facilities within a picturesque
and cultural framework.
